BSD New Faculty Network
Navigating the BSD, Networking, and Support for New Faculty

Join your faculty colleagues from across the Biological Science Division (BSD) for an interactive introduction to the resources and opportunities available in the BSD and University for career development, promotion and tenure.

This new program is offered to all faculty who are in their first year at University of Chicago, and enables faculty of all ranks to get to know the university and other faculty outside your department through a series of monthly sessions held over six months that are facilitated by senior faculty navigators.  With the exception of the Kickoff session in October, sessions are generally one to two hours long.  Each follow up session will be scheduled according to the availability of the cohort.

Participate in the New Faculty Network

All faculty who have started within the last year are invited to participate starting with the Kickoff session in October and continuing with monthly meetings with your cohort that are facilitated by senior faculty navigators.

In addition to learning about resources, the goal of the sessions is get to know faculty colleagues outside your department and build informal networks of collaboration and support. After you register, you will be sent a New Faculty Survey which will help us plan sessions based on topics of interest to you.

To participate, please sign up for one of the two October kickoff sessions.  The remaining sessions will be scheduled based on the availability of your group.

Lunch will be provided.  Click here to reserve your spot!
